CHALLENGE
Drone as First Responder (DFR) programs rely on low-latency, high-bandwidth, and secure connectivity to transmit real-time video and telemetry—but many public safety agencies lack the network infrastructure to support reliable, scalable deployments.
DFR programs allow police and public safety agencies to deploy drones rapidly to emergency scenes—often arriving before ground units—to provide live aerial video, situational awareness, and tactical intelligence. However, the effectiveness of DFR depends entirely on real-time transmission of HD video and telemetry data from the drone to command centers and field units. Challenges arise when operating in areas with poor LTE coverage, limited Wi-Fi infrastructure, or congested networks—causing video delays, signal dropouts, and loss of control.

OUR approach
PEAKE provides mission-resilient connectivity solutions designed specifically for DFR programs. By integrating LTE/5G, private wireless, and LEO satellite into a blended architecture, PEAKE ensures seamless drone connectivity regardless of terrain or local infrastructure. PEAKE equips drone launch sites and command centers with multi-path routers, edge compute nodes, and network prioritization tools to guarantee uninterrupted, high-quality video and telemetry delivery to Real-Time Crime Centers (RTCCs), dispatch, and mobile units.
