CHALLENGE

Hurricanes often wipe out terrestrial communication infrastructure, leaving first responders without the critical connectivity needed for coordinated disaster response and recovery operations.

When hurricanes strike, cellular towers, fiber lines, and power grids are frequently damaged or destroyed—cutting off Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs), public safety teams, and medical response units from their essential communication systems. This loss of connectivity delays search and rescue, disrupts logistics coordination, and limits access to cloud-based command tools like GIS, CAD, and WebEOC. Traditional satellite solutions may be too slow or cumbersome for fast-paced, high-demand response environments.

OUR approach

PEAKE delievers LEO (Low Earth Orbit) satellite connectivity solutions to rapidly restore high-speed, low-latency communications during hurricane response. Using portable Starlink terminals and ruggedized network kits, PEAKE enables instant access to broadband internet for command centers, staging areas, and mobile units. The systems are self-contained, easy to deploy, and operate independently of local infrastructure—making them ideal for disaster zones. PEAKE also provides ongoing support and remote monitoring to ensure performance throughout the response phase.
