CHALLENGE
Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) teams require dependable, high-bandwidth communications in disaster zones where terrestrial infrastructure is damaged or destroyed.
During earthquakes, building collapses, or large-scale urban disasters, USAR teams operate in chaotic environments with limited or no access to reliable communications. Cellular networks may be congested or offline, and fiber infrastructure is often damaged. These conditions make it difficult to coordinate field teams, relay situational updates, transmit video feeds, or connect with Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs). Without a reliable backhaul connection, mission coordination suffers and response times increase—potentially costing lives.

OUR approach
PEAKE deploys GEO satellite connectivity solutions as a resilient backhaul option for USAR operations. GEO satellite systems provide wide-area coverage and are ideal for establishing a stable link when other forms of infrastructure are unavailable. PEAKE delivers portable, vehicle-mounted, or fixed-site satellite terminals that can be rapidly deployed in the field. These systems support voice, video, data, and Wi-Fi connectivity for team coordination, command communication, and integration with real-time tracking and reporting tools.
