PEAKE upfits van for The Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration

The Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) Office recently took delivery of an van updated by PEAKE to improve field operations. The van, dubbed “Majestic”, provides field surveillance capability to TIGTA Office of Investigations.PEAKE installed the following into the vehicle:

  • Flooring and shelving
  • Netting in the rear
  • Pneumatic mast and custom mast head
  • External Connection Panel
  • LED emergency and scene lighting
  • Custom antenna rails
  • Overhead air conditioner
  • Awning

PEAKE also provided technology integration services that included improvements to technology equipment rack and the installation of the following communications:

  • Codan radio equipment

  • Extron video switcher
  • DVR
  • Monitors
  • Perimeter cameras

The technology integration will provide TIGTA with more the technology they need to perform successful operations investigating crimes within the tax administration.The Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) was established under the IRS Restructuring and Reform Act of 1998 to provide independent oversight of IRS activities. TIGTA audits, investigations, and inspections and evaluations protect and promote the fair administration of the Federal tax system and work to ensure that the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is accountable for the trillions of dollars in tax revenue it collects each year.
