UMD Shore Health gets upgraded van from PEAKE

University of Maryland Shore Regional Health recently received upgrades to a

2015 Ford Transit Van from PEAKE’s Specialty Vehicle division. UMD Shore Health will be using this vehicle to transport heavy medical equipment and machines between locations.For this upfit, the PEAKE Specialty Vehicle team installed a TommyGate Liftgate to the rear of the vehicle to make it possible to transport heavy equipment and machines without requiring people to manually load equipment in and out of the truck.UM Shore Health Materials Management Department will be the primary user of the van. The adjustment to the vehicle allows for more streamlined transportation and provides a more safe and manageable environment for the group.University of Maryland Shore Regional Health is a regional, nonprofit, medical delivery care network formed through the consolidation of two University of Maryland partner entities, the former Shore Health and the former Chester River Health. The UM Shore Regional Health network serves the Mid-Shore region, which includes Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne’s, and Talbot counties. In addition to its three hospitals, University of Maryland Shore Regional Health includes a broad array of inpatient and outpatient services in locations throughout the five-county region.
