The Bike Doctor recently contracted PEAKE to enhance a 2010 Freightliner Van to fit their mobilization needs. The solutions integrated into the vehicle by PEAKE allow The Bike Doctor to broaden their bike repair capabilities to a mobile environment.The PEAKE Specialty Vehicle division retrofit for this vehicle included:

• Interior Finish
• Lighting Installations
• 12 Volt Power Outlets
• Custom Built and Mounted Parts Storage
• Multi Drawer Tool Box w/ Mounted Work Bench

The interior finish for this vehicle included covering each wall with .125” aluminum for the purpose of mounting equipment and tools. The lighting solutions that were installed included four high output LED lights, located centered on the ceiling and wired to a switch on the side door. Additionally, two USB and two cigarette outlets were put into the vehicle and wired to the existing battery system.Custom storage solutions provided by PEAKE are designed with the highest quality and craftsmanship to fit our customer’s needs. PEAKE works closely with commercial entities and organizations to provide customized solutions. For this retrofit, PEAKE installed a steel commercial shelf unit featuring adjustable shelves with an inverted lip to hold boxes in transit. The team also custom designed and integrated a multi drawer tool box with a mounted work bench. The tool box is commercial grade with approximately 9 drawers and a lock, and the work bench includes an aluminum counter for mounting equipment to hold bicycle components.The Bike Doctor is a multi-store bicycle retailer focused on serving the cycling community of the Mid-Atlantic region through excellent service and dedication to customers. They provide tune ups and maintenance service on customer bicycles.
