Queen Anne’s County Sheriff, in Maryland, has recently increased their capabilities and reach by adding four new police cars. Several 2015 Dodge Charger police vehicles were added to the department’s fleet. Thanks to the help of Peake, who were contracted to upfit the four police chargers.The Peake Specialty Vehicle division upfit included:Lights and Sirens

Single Prisoner Transport compartmentThe Peake fabrication team built custom laptop mounts for customer-supplied Lenovo laptops used by on-duty deputies. Peake in-house automotive electronics installers integrated the lights, sirens and communication systems into the vehicles. The capabilities of the Peake Specialty Vehicle Division range from installing lights and sirens up to designing and building mobile command centers from the ground up.In 2006 Dodge released a new police version of the Charger. Since that time, Chargers have steadily increased as a ‘go-to’ for Law Enforcement. According to Chryslers fleet website the police version of the Charger features upgraded heavy-duty brakes, a severe-duty cooling system, police-performance Electronic stability, police performance-tuned steering and a gear shifter that is mounted on the steering column instead of in the center console.The Queen Anne’s County Sheriff and deputies patrol the approximately 392 square miles of Queen Anne’s County and provide police services to the estimated population of 46,000 residents and tourist and commuters 365 days a year from the Chesapeake Bay Bridge to the Delaware State Line.[Best_Wordpress_Gallery id="44" gal_title="5-21-2015 (2)"]
