Charlotte, NC (March 5, 2009) – PEAKE personnel recently provided communication support for the North Carolina Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) Spring Full Scale Exercise held at the Charlotte Fire Department (CFD) Training Academy. The NC USAR real-time exercise is designed to give local USAR Task Force team’s hands-on training of the response necessary for a significant incident in the region. The training allows Task Force members to engage in a real-time response that reflects a mass-casualty event such as a building structural collapse.
