PEAKE Contributes to Howard County Police for the Police Unity Tour

STEVENSVILLE, MD – PEAKE contributed to the sponsorship of the Howard County Police Department’s participation in the Police Unity Tour, a 501 © 3 non-profit organization. The Police Unity tour donations support the National Law Enforcement Memorial and its programs that support fallen officers and their families.The Police Unity Tour is a 270-mile bicycle ride with the primary goal of raising awareness of Law Enforcement Officers who have died in the line of duty. The motto of the tour is “We ride for those who died.” The event was introduced in 1997 with 18 bicycle riders on a four-day fund-raising tour from Florham Park, N.J. to Washington, DC.The 2014 ride began on May 9th in Hanover, NJ and continued over the course of four days ending on May 12th in Washington, DC. The tour was broken up into four stages: Hanover, NJ to Somerset, NJ to Wilmington, DE to Annapolis, MD and then to Washington, DC. On May 13th a Candlelit Vigil is held at the National Law Enforcement Memorial where all members who participated will attend.PEAKE is proud to help sponsor the Howard County Police Department, including Chief William McMahon, on their trek to honor those Howard County Police Officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice: Corporal Scott Wheeler, Officer Randolph Brightwell and Recruit Officer Roger Cassell.For more information on the Police Unity Tour visit there website at: http://policeunitytour.com
