PEAKE Completes AV Install on Harford County Sheriff's Office Incident Command Unit

STEVENSVILLE, MD – (June 2014) PEAKE recently completed an Audio-Video system upgrade and installation for the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Incident Command Unit. This installation included several components that increase the Sheriffs Office mobile capability and situational awareness.PEAKE installed an Extron Video switcher, which is the backbone to the AV system allowing users to change the inputs and outputs of all the different video sources including computer, cable television, and video sources. Two Pelco Color Quads were integrated to provide video processing for view on quad monitors. This improved AV system allows video from any of the eight different cameras sources to be viewed on multiple split screen monitors throughout the mobile command unit.PEAKE also installed several new monitors in the Incident Command Unit and re-organized the cables and wires to meet a higher level of standard. A large monitor in the rear of the unit was installed on a swinging whiteboard cabinet giving easy-access to cabling for troubleshooting. A radio panel was also installed in the front of the unit.Video from several perimeter cameras and a mast-mounted PTZ camera can be viewed simultaneously on any of the monitor’s in the unit providing the agency with superior situational awareness.According to their website the Harford County Sheriff's Office is a progressive Maryland Law Enforcement agency, providing professional police, courts and correctional services to the citizens of Harford County. The Sheriff's Office mobile Incident Command Unit is deployed throughout special operations, disasters and events.PEAKE provides custom and turnkey solutions to first responders, critical infrastructure, military and private companies.
