STEVENSVILLE, Md. (April 3, 2008) — PEAKE, LLC, a technology solutions provider based in Stevensville, Md., was recently awarded a Federal Supply Schedule contract from the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA). As an authorized GSA vendor, PEAKE can reach more government customers, at the federal, state and local levels. The GSA Schedules Program provides a prearranged purchasing contract for government agencies and allows them to order items directly from PEAKE or online through GSA Advantage (www.gsaadvantage.com). GSA offers free training on their Schedules program for contractors and customers through the Center for Acquisition Excellence (fsstraining.gsa.gov).“We initially intended to use our GSA Schedule as a procurement vehicle for federal agencies; however, with the new GSA Disaster Recovery Purchasing program, our GSA Schedule can be used by any of our customers regardless of whether they are a federal, state or local agency,” said PEAKE President Stephen Morgan.Until recently, only federal agencies could purchase commercial supplies and services through GSA. Because of the disaster recovery provision, state and local governments can purchase supplies and equipment in response to disasters, both natural and manmade.“We are very excited about this new contract vehicle and the opportunities that it opens up for PEAKE as well as for our customer base.
